We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2024, at the age of 82, Barbara Carter Varner of Lexington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Buddy Varner. She is survived by: her children, Tim Bess of Lexington, Tammy Bess Pressley of Lexington, Terry Bess of Winston Salem and Todd Bess of Lexington; her siblings, Billy Carter of Litchfield, KY and Pat Portman of Louisville, KY.; and her grandchildren, Nathan Bess, Emily Byerly, Jordan Pressley, Katelyn Tucker, Noah Bess, Lindley Farris, Jake Bess, Luke Bess and Micah Bess. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 are requested by the family.
