He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Jackson Mize and Josie Catherine Hoffman Mize; and his wife Carol Jolee Groth Mize. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelley Mize (Dion Casto) and Julie Mize; his stepchildren, Sharon Long (John) and Andrew Lohr; his brother Ted Mize; his grandchildren, Blake Boatwright (Victoria), Bret Boatwright (Ragan) and Zoey Mize; and his great grandchild Georgia Mae Boatwright.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel (301 N Main St, Lexington, NC 27292).
