He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Gossett and Naomi Johnson Gossett; and his siblings, Ronnie, Johnny Gossett and Faye Marty.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Somers Gossett; his sons, Eric Gossett (Kelley) and Jason Gossett (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Mackinley, Calum, Cowen, Carson, Ryan, Anna and Matthew; his siblings, Allen "Buddy" Gossett, Jr. (Janice), Robert "Bobby" Gossett (Joan) and Margaret Lindsay (Al); and his sisters-in-law, Ellen Gossett and Carol Gossett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Shallowford Presbyterian Church (1200 Lewisville Clemmons Rd, Lewisville, NC 27023). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
