It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emily Bennett Hemphill of Lewisville, North Carolina, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 16, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Lee Bennett Hemphill and Maegan Hemphill (Gardner); her sisters, Grace Carraway Hemphill and Mary Salem Hemphill; and her grandparents, Janet Hodges Gardner, Phillip, Tressa Gardner of Darlington, SC and Laura Thomson Hemphill. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles; her five cousins, and many extended family.
