She was predeceased by: her daughter Angela Robinson; her parents, Mark Mathewson and Verna Shell Mathewson; and her siblings, Harold Mathewson, Mickey Mathewson, Jerry Mathewson, Patty Richardson, Jo Rhyne and Gwendolyn Mason.

She is survived by: her husband Paul S. Tolbert; her daughters, Leslie Wells (Lee) and Regina Craig (Ryan); her grandchildren, Matthew Craig (Alyssa), Emily Johnson (Tony), Caitlin Harrell (Ethan Thacker), Penelope Harrell and Noah Bachman; and her great grandchildren, Aurora Johnson, Theo Johnson, Benjamin Craig and Maylee Craig.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the General Fund of St. James Episcopal Church.
