With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Ann Herndon Gunn of Lenoir, North Carolina, born in Hamlet, North Carolina, who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Herndon and Queenie Wynn Herndon; her daughter Wendy Gunn; and her brothers, Cliff, Robert, Bill, Milton and Jamie.
She is survived by: her son Danny Lee; her husband Max Gunn; her grandchild Lauren; her daughter-in-law Bobbie of Walkertown; her grandchild-in-law Kelly Gunn Page; her son-in-law Joey; her grandchildren, Carole-Ann and Alex of Reidsville; and her sister-in-law Kathy Herndon.
Then came a broken hip and the pandemic, losing quality of her Earthly life.
In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored by donations to Ancora Compassionate Care (Formerly Hospice).
