She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Ann Mills; her husband Richard Lee Gibson; and her sons, Kenneth Estil Gibson of London, KY and Donald Philip Gibson. She is survived by: her children, Richard Lee Gibson II (Nancy Conte) of Lenoir and Laura Renee Gibson (Chuck Foxx) of Lenoir; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Gibson of London, KY; her grandchildren, Jerry Dale Benge, Jr., Holly Danielle Miller, Joshua Cole Gibson and Mackenzie Gibson; and her great grandchild Emmett Lane Miller.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mackie Funeral Service (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
