She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Devon and Joy Postell Parson. She is survived by: her husband Robert Wayne Phillips, Sr.; her son Jimmy Allen Parson (Vicki) of Lenoir; her stepsons, Robert Phillips, Jr. (Jan) of Hudson and Jonathan Phillips of Hudson; her sisters, Brenda Irene Parson, Loretta Fillers and Margaret Zion; and her granddaughter Kaitlin Parson.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
