He is survived by: his daughter Susan G. Champion (Miles) of Rutherford College; his granddaughter Chelsea Champion of Rutherford College; and his siblings, James Greene of Granite Falls, Buster Greene of Lenoir, Roy Greene of Lenoir, Jane Braswell of Lenoir, Rosa Lee Rash of Lenoir, Patsy Richardson of Lenoir and Kay Connor of Lenoir.
