He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Childers, Jr. and Gladys "Pauline" Childers; and his brother Michael Childers. He is survived by: his wife Joyce B. Childers; his daughter Carrie Helton (Bobby); his stepchildren, Jennifer Childers (Timothy) and David Webb; his stepgrandchildren, Amber Simmons, Chelsea Simmons, Trevor Simmons and Cristen Webb; his stepgreat-grandchildren, William Marshall, Sophia Marshall and Marley Hurst; and his siblings, Timothy Childers (Jennifer) and Robin Hollis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
