Susie Townsend Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Townsend of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Barthlow Yates and Molly Brown Yates; and her grandson Jacob Watson. She is survived by: her husband Denver Townsend of Lenoir; her children, Cathy Watson (Randy) of Hudson, Karen South (David) of Hudson and Mark Townsend of Granville County; her granddaughters, Bailey Overman (Robert) of Wedington, Amber Barrett (Wayne) of Granite Falls and Annie Hogan (Joey); her great grandchildren, Reagan, Luke Overman, Jase and Finley Barrett; and her siblings, Martha Reece and Claude Yates of Lenoir. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
