He is survived by: his wife Gloria Diane Corpening; his children, Kareem Corpening (Angela) of Everett Washington, Jovante Marcellino of Lenoir and Stephanie Benson of Duvall; his siblings, James Corpening of Lenoir and Natalie Johnson (Ronald) of Lenoir; his aunts, Betty Boston of Winston Salem and Annie Margaret Corpening of New York; and his grandchildren, Kathleen Corpening, Merrick Corpening, Kainaan Corpening, Daryl Benson, Steven Benson and Jakaden Marcellino. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
