He was predeceased by: his father Everett Charles Austin; and his siblings, Johnnie R. Austin and Mary Jo Austin Setzer. He is survived by: his wife Reba Earley Austin; his children, Jennifer Austin-Janssen (Carol) of Hendersonville and John Steven Austin of Kingsport, Tennessee; and his brothers, Jerry Austin (Geneva) of Granite Quarry and Donald Austin of Hudson.
