We are sad to announce that on August 22, 2021, at the age of 84, Sonja Marie Sanders of Lenoir, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Wilson Randolph and Carrie Mae Whitener; her husband Wiley Sanders; and her great grandchildren, Zachary Haynes and TJ Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Vanessa Sanders of Hudson, Sonja Greer (Reggie) of Lenoir, Robert Sanders of Lenoir, Teresa Crouch (Jerry) of Lenoir and Sheila Brookshire (Greg) of Lenoir; her sister Maxine Lail of Granite Falls; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Oakes of Hickory and Brian Philbeck of Boiling Springs. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
