He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jones Pennell; his daughter Teresa Edmisten of Maiden; his brothers, Hayden Pennell of Charlotte and Donald Pennell of Hudson; his grandchildren, Mark Timothy Scott, Lane Paul Scott, Kristen Holman and Elyssa Holman; and his great grandchildren, Piper Scott, Waylon Scott and Alexandria Scott.
