It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Jean Cannon Curtis (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Roby Lee; her husband Robert Curtis, Sr. (Bob); her siblings, Opal Ritch (Babe), Daisy "Baby" Lynn Cannon Greene, Bill James Cannon (Fat), Robert Cannon (Shug), Roby Cannon, Jr. (Sonny), Jack Cannon and Kelly "Buck" Cannon; her nephew Greg Cannon; her great-nephew Jason Cannon; and her friend Earl Greene.
She is survived by: her sister Sally Cannon of Hudson; her children, Robert Curtis, Jr., Roberta "Jeannie" Curtis, James Kurt Curtis (Cheryl), Daniel Curtis and Angela "Angie" VonKamp; her granddaughter Lori Curtis Tolbert (Brian); her great grandchildren, Morgan, Noah, Asher Tolbert, Astin Curtis, Savannah, Sara Curtis, Kinley Dibernardi, Ross, Beckett Dibernardi, Izaiah Hartsell, Hailee Reid, Bryson Curtis, Branson VonKamp, Garrison Chatman, Daxton "Dax" and Karrington Reid; and her nieces and nephews, Margaret "Marg" Ritch Curtis, Faye Higgins, Jimmy Ritch (Becky), Ricky Cannon (Nancy), Allen Cannon (Crystal), Lisa Ward (Mark), Teresa Cannon, Vicki Rhoades (Steve), Randy Cannon, Ronnie Cannon, Bobby Cannon, Tammy Bowie (Jeff), Christine Whitlock and Darlene Wise (Tommy). She is also survived by numerous cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Due to COVID face masks and social distancing will be required.
