It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Brewer Auton (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Brewer and Jennie Mae McLendon Brewer; her son Willard Scott Auton; her brothers, James Brewer, Kenneth Brewer and Charles Franklin Brewer; and her grandson Mitchell Scott Auton.
She is survived by: her husband Willard "Bill" Auton; her daughter Teresa Phillips; her sisters, Earlene Ward and Betty Jo Lofton; her grandchildren, Haylie M. Coffey (Scott), G. Hunter Clark (Sarah) and Chad R. Auton; and her great grandchildren, Carson Clark, Chelsea Clark, Wade Coffey and Teagan Coffey.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Whitnel First Baptist Church (1201 Connelly Springs Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
