It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Wayne Smith of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on August 4, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Samuel W. Smith; and his sister Debra Sumlin. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Clark Smith; his children, Samuel "Alex" Smith (Katherine) of Hudson and Abby Smith (Jamie Littlejohn) of Lenoir; and his brother Ike Smith (Cindy) of Lenoir. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
