She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Huffman and Elsie Huffman; her siblings, Ruby Yount and LJ Huffman Jr.; her brothers-in-law, Keith Yount and Roy Self; her son-in-law Gregg Mills; and her nephew Joshua Self.
She is survived by: her caregiver Randy Gragg; her daughters, Penny Carpenter and Marisa Ford (Stan); her grandchildren, Torie (Tim), Garrett (Virginia) and Devin; her sister Trudy Self; and her pet Mick. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service (1070 Taylorsville Rd SE, Lenoir, NC 28645). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In addition to flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to Amorem High Country Hospice in honor of Ruth.
