He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Coffey and Florence Hartley Coffey; his wife Peggy Brown Coffey; and his siblings, Leland Coffey, Joe Coffey, Olieen Tolbert and Kathleen Hennessee.
He is survived by: his son Dennis Coffey (Mary) of Leland; his siblings, Alvin Coffey (Mary) of Hickory, Ronald Coffey (Bonnie) of Brunswick County, Robert Coffey (Gail) of Blowing Rock, Kenneth Coffey of Baton, Willa Tolbert (Alan) of Charlotte and Doris Hawkins (Ray) of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Leslie Harrell (Michael) and Bradford Coffey; his great grandchild Kamden Harrell; his nephews, Keith Pitts and Michael Pitts; and his niece Anne Bottenfield. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Due to COVID-19 face masks and social distancing will be required.
