He is survived by: his siblings, Walter Alexander Corpening of Morganton, Gerald Vance Corpening of Lenoir, Jessie Mae Corpening Parker of Durham, Shirley Ann Corpening Kincaid of Lenoir and Catherine Corpening Rankin of Morganton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mars Hill AME Methodist Church (2695 Playmore Beach Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
