He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger McCarty and Betty McCarty; and his sister Angie McCarty Kincaid. He is survived by: his niece Amber Jones Kirby (Austin) of Bethlehem; and his close friend Jerald Ross. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
