He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Teague and Anne Blaha Teague; and his brothers, Charles Teague, Jr. and Stanley Teague. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Puett Teague; his daughter Yvonne Teague Roberts (Bruce); his grandchildren, Makayla Roberts, Makenzie Roberts and Luke Roberts; and his siblings, Vicki Whisnant, Alice Clark, Brenda Holden and Steven McCallister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Flemings Chapel Baptist Church Building and Grounds Fund at 4430 Littlejohn Church Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645.
