He is survived by: his siblings, Howard Pennell of Hickory, Ricky Pennell of Granit Falls, Phil Pennell of Bethlehem, Shirley Harrington (Elbert) of Taylorsville, Priscilla Little of Taylorsville and Martha Huffman (William) of Purlear; his niece Fonda Sharp; and his nephews, Monty Harrington, Shawn Pennell, Wesley Pennell (Michelle) and Eric Pennell (Haylea).
