She is survived by: her mother Charlotte Hood of Lenoir; her sons, David Smith (Paula) of Lenoir and Michael Smith of Charlotte; her brothers, Clarence Hood (Mary) of Columbia and Tony Hood (Sylaine) of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Tyona Smith, Iris Smith, Amiyah Smith, Michael Smith Jr. and Malcom Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
