He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dallas Lovins and Mary Elizabeth Winkler Lovins; his sisters, Edith Lovins Correll, Rosa L. Putman, Sharon Goble and Vera Sullivan; and his half-brother Rhon Winkler.
He is survived by: his brother Marvin D. Lovins (Sarah) of Lenoir; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff Putman (Natalie), Greg Lovins (Claudine), Cynthia Epley (Randy) and Lisa Abernathy (Chris). He is also survived by his family, friends.
