It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelson Nathan Watson Sr. of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on June 28, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurney A. Watson and Nancy Ray Watson. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Smith Watson; his children, Nelson "Nathan" Watson, Jr. (Pam) of Greenfield, IN, Noel W. Watson of Fleetwood, NC and Nanette Retting (Henry) of Boynton Beach, FL; and his sister Dorothy Noble of Tallahassee, FL. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 a private graveside service will be held at Sardis Cemetery conducted by Pastor Nathan Watson, Jr. and Rev. Luke Brakefield.
