She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Frank Kennerly and Virginia Lackey Kennerly; and her significant other Walter L. Bean Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Susan Kennerly Stevens of Durham and Thomas Franklin Stevens of Lenoir; her grandsons, Aaron Tyler Stevens and Colton Marshall Stevens; and her daughter-in-law Donna Richards Stevens.
