In the sacred silence of farewell, Mildred is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mildred's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her sons, Stanley Hodge and Ricky Hodge; her mother Ethel Davenport; and her brother Lee Barnette. She is survived by: her husband Dickie Hodge; and her daughters, Donna Whittington, Lisa Campbell (Freddie), Angie Ford (Lyle) and Jennifer Hodge. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Park (2017 Wilkesboro Blvd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
