We are sad to announce that on June 22, 2023, at the age of 61, Michelle Oliver East of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bailey Oliver and Linda Greene Walker; her brother Jeff Oliver; and her stepfather Donald Walker. She is survived by: her husband Ricky Dale East; her sisters, Maria Oliver Ledbetter of Lenoir and Donna Walker Stevens (Chad) of Lenoir; her stepbrother Timm Walker (Jeanie) of Collettsville; and her close friends, Daisy, Dolly and Dixie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Foothills Canine Rescue, P.O. Box 2746, Lenoir, NC 28645.

“Michelle was the most loving person I ever knew. Once she loved you it was forever, she never forgot a friend and would do anything she could to help. She loved the Young Adults group at church and was a great leader for them. She loved the Special Education class and would combine the Young Adults with them to help with different things and expose them so they would learn that they are just people. She will be missed but she's with Jesus and not suffering from fibromyalgia.”
