It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin G. Thompson (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Agie Kelly and Thelma McGowan Thompson; and his wife Margaret "Mickey" Thompson. He is survived by: his son Geoffrey Thompson (Jessica) of Greer, SC; and his grandsons, Noah and Silas Thompson.
Interment will be private, with a celebration of his life at a later date due to COVID-19.
