It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Holman Wheeler of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Holman and Annie Belle Taylor Holman; her husband Edward Carson Wheeler; her siblings, JoAnne Holman, Dorothy Teague and Larry Holman; and her close friend Joseph Cerullo.
She is survived by: her daughter Myra Ward (Ken) of Conover, NC; her grandson Shane Ward; her sisters, Barbara Graybeal of Lenoir and Doris Woodruff of Lenoir; and her nieces and nephews, Julie Graybeal of Conover, Donna Chapman of Lenoir, John Holman (Michelle) of Shalotte, NC and Charles Teague (Diana) of Michigan. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
