He was predeceased by: his parent Lee Ellen Mashburn Bumgarner; his brother Bobby McCaskill; and his stepfather Bob Bumgarner. He is survived by: his brother Jimmy Dean McCaskill of Lenoir; his sister-in-law Karen McCaskill of Hudson; and his nieces, Christina McCaskill (Patrick) and Chanda Schwartz (Eric).
