He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ted Hicks and Fannie Lafferty Hicks; his children, Nathan Hicks of Lumberton, NC, Rebecca Collins (Frank) of Denver, NC and Elisha Hicks of Granite Falls; his siblings, Sid Hicks of Granite Falls, James Hicks (Donna) of Granite Falls, Teddy Hicks (Roxanne) of Lenoir, Marvin Hicks of Greensboro and Brenda Barnes of Hildebran; and his grandchildren, Breeann Franklin, Chloe Silva, Jade Silva and Zander Hicks. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 a memorial service to celebrate the life of Martin will be held at a later date.
