She was predeceased by: her parents, Donley Hendrix and Pearl Simmons Hendrix; her husband James D. Summerlin; and her siblings, Glenn Hendrix and Clairece Dula.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Summerlin of Lenoir and Chuck Summerlin (Penny) of Lenoir; her siblings, Ed Hendrix (Nanlee) of Lenoir, Shirley Adams of Lenoir and Stella Scott of Hiddenite; and her granddaughters, Charity and Megan Summerlin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shiloh Community Cemetery Fund, 2585 Poor Boy Place, Lenoir, NC 28645.
