She was predeceased by: her father Marvin W. Suddreth; her sons, James Townsend, Jeffrey Townsend and Bobby Ray Taylor; her siblings, James R. Suddreth and Dorothy Garland; and her son-in-law Glenn McGinnis.
She is survived by: her children, Russell Townsend (Diane) of Lenoir, Elizabeth Duncan (Jimmy) of Lenoir and Sherri McGinnis of Hildebran; her sister Karen Johnson of Lenoir; and her grandchildren, Gypsy Spencer, Glenn McGinnis, David McGinnis, James Townsend and Jessica Townsend Acevedo. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
