She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Oaks and Anna Ward Oaks; her husbands, Lee Presnell and Hoover Presnell; her siblings, Joe Oaks, Chester Oaks, Virginia Neighbors, Betty Oaks and Reba Barnes; and her grandson Ronnie Barnes, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Barnes (Ronnie); her grandson Travis Barnes (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Aleigha Barnes and Tyler Barnes; and her siblings, Clint Oaks, Reid Oaks, Clarice Barnes and Mary Lynn Phillips. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
