She was predeceased by: her father Robert Moore Hardin; her husband Ben Hood, Jr.; and her brother Robert Moore Hardin, Jr. (Hood). She is survived by: her children, Carol Tighe (Tom) of Lenoir, Nancy Yancey (Mike) of Hickory and Mike Hood of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Blair Yancey Prentice, Jennifer Yancey Bailey (Kenneth) and Zack Hood; and her great grandchildren, Michael, Max Prentice and Wyatt Hood.
