He is survived by: his wife Donna Nichols Burch; his daughters, Mary Burch Schmidlin of Mooresville and Nancy Burch Davison of Lenoir; his siblings, Steve Burch (Darlene) of Raleigh and Lonna Hanley (John) of Watkinsville, GA; his half-sister Jackie Dawson Dapore of Greenville, OH; and his grandchildren, Ben Schmidlin, Jay Schmidlin, Kate Schmidlin, Hannah Davison, Natalie Davison and Jack Davison.
