With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Greene of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Katherine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Katherine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Sutton and Lola Nelson Sutton; her son Benji Sutton; and her brother Garret Sutton. She is survived by: her daughter Angie Hatton (Shannon); her siblings, J. B. Sutton, Cris Coffey (J. D.), Levaunda Sutton and Joni Banner (Terrence); her grandsons, Caleb Sutton, Cooper Hatton and Dillon Benge; and her close friend Mandy Laws. She is also survived by her many friends at Koinonia and numerous other relatives.
A reception will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Greer-McElveen Funeral Home (725 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645).
