She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaither Dula and Mildred Johnson Dula; her husband Willie "Bill" Patterson; her daughter Willa "Connie" Jenkins; her siblings, Minnie Elizabeth Dula, Vincent, Eugene, Jack, John, Jimmy and Sam Dula; and her great grandchild Sidney Sibblies.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Patterson Foster of Lenoir, Mildred Patterson Dixon of Lenoir, Lemuel Patterson of Lenoir and Willie Patterson, Jr. of Lenoir; her son-in-law James Jenkins, Jr. (Margo) of Lenoir; her sisters-in-law, Irma Dula of Lenoir and Elizabeth Patterson of Lenoir; her niece Dr. Annette Dula (Mark Gross) of Boulder, Colorado; and her grandchildren, James Jenkins III (Cindy), Preston Foster, Jr. (Ashley), Connie Janelle Taylor (Chad), Katherine F. Sibblies (Andre), Rashaad Patterson (Kira), Willa Janene Baker (Tremaine), Kara F. Sanya (Stephen), Lauren Patterson, Megan D. Brinkmoeller (Ben) and Michelle Dixon. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
