He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George William Petree, Sr. and Sarah Dora Martin Petree; his wife Pamela Marie Bowman Petree; his children, Bobby Petree (Ruth) of Vale, NC, Will Petree of Anderson, SC and Tammy Kilby (Chris) of Hudson; and his grandchildren, Josh Kilby (Meredith), Abbie Petree (Hunter Dyer), Chloe Petree, Seth Kilby, Zeke Petree, Eli Kilby and Phoebe Petree.
Due to COVID-19 a memorial service to celebrate the life of Gib will be held at a later date.
