She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bruce and Zola Elizabeth Ollis; her husband Harold; her siblings, Jean Ollis, James and Joseph Ollis; and her grandson Andrew Dean Clawson.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Clawson (Gary) of Lenoir, Leslie Gallagher (James) of Alexandria, VA and Harold "Hal" D. Lawing, Jr. (Rebecca) of Lenoir; and her grandchildren, Alex, Sydney Clawson, Megan, Katie Gallagher, Houston and Holden Lawing.
Joyce was a member of the Caldwell Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and active in the Foundation Patrons Ball.
