With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Boyce Bowers of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on February 9, 2021 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Ray Bowers Sr. and Charlotte Hatton Bowers; and his brothers, Archie Bowers Jr., Larry Douglas Bowers and James Nolan Bowers.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sue Hartso (Marvin Daniel Hartso Jr.) of Lenoir, NC and Claude Early Bowers of Conover, NC; his nieces and nephews, Dougie Bowers, Argentina Bowers, Dr. Suzanne Smith, Brian Isbell, Jonathan Bowers, Coleman Coles, Shimika Bowers, Chandra Bowers, Allie Bowers, Racheal Thompson, Marvin Hartso III, Landon Bowers and Tia Bowers; and his close friends, Roosevelt Mosley, Tressie Fuller, Lesa Hart, Thersea Gloster and Jerri Lindsey. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews and great great nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Due to COVID, a private service will be held with Pastor David E. Roberts II and Pastor Reggie Longcrier officiating for the immediate family only.
