It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnsie Eletha Curtis Nelson (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on October 24, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Johnsie Lula Clark; her husband Dock Wilson Nelson; and her daughter Barbara Kalogiros. She is survived by: her children, Betty Turner and William Childress. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
