He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dula and Estelle Shoemake Dula; and his siblings, Charlotte Dula, Jack and Buck Dula.
He is survived by: his wife Creola Moretz Dula; his sons, Richard Barry Dula (Vickie) of Lenoir and Melvin Randall Dula (Crystal) of Lenoir; his stepsons, Tony Houston Moretz (Kim) of Lenoir and Lewis Eugene Clark Jr. (Shannon) of Lenoir; his daughters, Crystal Lorraine Dula of Lenoir and Tracey Diana Mendoza (Rob) of Virginia; and his siblings, David Dula of Morganton, Jean Hart of Lenoir, Ann Jacumin (Jim) of Connelly Springs, Billie Dula of Lenoir, Brenda Jones of Lenoir, Pamela Dula of Lenoir, Iola "Obe" Cormier of Newton and Sherrie Scism of Florida. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
