He is survived by: his wife Dortha Mayo; his children, Jean Brown, Peggy Hazard (Earl) and John Mayo (Angela); his grandchildren, Lee, Todd (Jennifer), Ben, Erin (Jonah), Lauren and Alex; his great grandchildren, Willa, Avett and Evaleigh; his great great grandchild Lyla Jane; and his brother Pete Gordon Mayo (Elizabeth).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lenoir Church of Christ (1126 Powell Rd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645).
