He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley and Nora Cannon Smith; his wife Willa Dean Carlton Smith; his siblings, Burl Smith and Faye Calloway; and his granddaughter Deanna Jean Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Smith (Doug); his sister Elizabeth "Lib" Watson; his granddaughter Destiny Williford; and his great grandchild Kya.
