We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2023, at the age of 88, John D Carpenter of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Evie Wilson and Howard Carpenter Sr.; his son Scott Carpenter; his grandson Cameron Carpenter; and his siblings, Howard Carpenter Jr., Eugene Carpenter, Fred Carpenter, Homer Carpenter, Floyd Carpenter, Boyd Carpenter, Brenda Boyette and Dorris Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Reba Andrews, Janet Harris and Michael Carpenter; his grandchildren, Stephanie Clough, Jeremy Carpenter, Jason Carpenter, Eric Carpenter, Kelly McCall and Charlie Harris; and his sister Linda Lowman.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mt Zion Baptist Church Building Fund.
