“Jody was my step-son. I never thought of him a step son but as my Son. I was always proud that he called me Mama. I am grateful as is his sister Amanda Irene Dillard for the times we had with Jody. Jody had the sweetest, funniest, and most loving personality. He loved the Lord and tried to live as the Lord would have him to. He was quick to laugh, love, and forgive. He was such a sweet soul. I have such fond memories of our times together. I was very proud of the man he’d become. Hed overcome many obstacles throughout his lifetime and grew up to be a man that a parent could be proud of. He was a talented, skilled and hardworking mason. He created his brother Demus’s headstone that was truly a labor of love and work of art. It is heartbreaking that in the prime of his life, his life was cut short. He had so much love to give. I don’t know anyone who met Jody who didn’t feel better for having known him. His sister Amanda Dillard and I feel profound loss from his passing, and we will miss him more than either of us can express. The Jensen family will miss him as well. Rest In Peace Jody. You will live on in our hearts and through the memories of you that we hold so dear. ??Too young to go; too good to stay.”
